To add on to what @Travis Biziorek said with regards to having a good reason to be there, I was traveling to Detroit frequently for automotive work and my in laws are there, I got married there last year in a Ford museum.

I didn't hit it ($6m) but I'm even more motivated to double down on the things that worked.Here's one thing that did work last year.....Building strong broker relationships in the markets I operate in.Getting together frequently for lunch, coffee or beers.Inviting brokers out to play golf.
