I think technically you could start an eviction for that, the slow kind of eviction (for reasons other than non-payment), but then you’d get into court and the tenant would say no they don’t live there, they just visit a lot, etc.In practice, if nothing bad comes up on the criminal check, and they pay their rent on time and don’t disturb the other tenants in the building, I have generally been inclined to look the other way.

Upon my visit, I know the house needs wall repainting, replacing bathroom tiles, installing 3 doors, and renewing kitchen sinks.I am very inexperienced when it comes to these fixes and def want to avoid all of that work myself. 1.

I invest out of state as well since Boston’s pretty pricey but we picked an area in northern no where my in-laws are retiring to and where we spend about 10 weekends a year visiting. 

Also not an isolated incident, he was telling me that he went through 7 different companies before deciding to just manage it himself from a distance and just visiting Florida(from New York) here and there to check in.

Upon receiving the stop work order I paid L&I district office a visit to understand why the permit was needed. 

We do our own inspections and usually we do that all in one visit.

@Tony Marcelle  The probate records are still free, but it will require you to visit the Jefferson County probate court rather than assess them online.
