This was in regards to housing discrimination and potential fines but at that time there was also some discussion on discrimination of folks with children, sinigle mothers, age, along with the more prominent issues on discrimination.Best of luck and congrats again on having more than one potential tenant to consider.To answer your question as to whether I agree with your decision would take a little more background information but like I said sounds like you are in a good position either way.

Yesterday they actually told my wife they had no control over what their kids friends did and it wasn't their children yet I have pictures.Yesterday I was finally fed up, after hearing KGO attorney Len Tillem tell someone with a similar story they could take the owner of the rental home to small claims court and sue for the amount of 7,500 dollars because the tenant is ruining my right "quiet enjoyment" and property damage.What does everyone else think?

Even though this is your home, purchased with your own money, you cannot disqualify someone because of their race, color, religion, gender, children, etc., and day by day the list gets longer and longer, so you have to be very careful in whom you choose and HOW you choose them.The very first thing one needs to do in selecting a tenant is to do a credit check!

He ran a fair size office and referred to his agents as a bunch of children, everybody was doing something to somebody and generally acting like a bunch of goofs, not to mention the legal challenges they created.Maybe it's just CA, or maybe it's just me, but this whole concept of making you responsible for somebody else's actions rubs me the wrong way.Oh well, enough rant.

@Shannon Slade Yes, the lease specifies that guests cannot stay for longer than one week without my approval (it's been only a few days since the son-in-law's return, however).I have heard from Ms D, who has confirmed that her son in law (and his wife and children, who were all there before this mess began), has indeed moved back in.
