Hey gang ~ I'm still looking for good, solid ways to establish a value on a property without spending $300-$400 on an appraisal (which I've found to be as wildly inaccurate as Zillow's zestimates or eppraisal or any of the other online valuation sites!!).

Meetup is a good place to start online, look for REIA's, and Real estate investing clubs online in your local area.

I'm just getting into Real Estate Investing, and want to get a proper background on the terminology, the lingo, and just get a feel for everything so I can choose my path.I was thinking about buying books, online courses, in person courses, and of course these Podcasts.Just wanted your opinion, what would be the most structured way of getting a Real Estate education.

Best way to tell about an area is visit it, you can also talk to local realtors and ask them about how the rental market is there. you may be able to research it online and even find out what the average rent is for the area.

I would just mention the structural integrity of your flooring cannot exceed a weight capacity of 300lbs, any encumbrance above that is a safety hazard.
