Occasionally, I'll drop a few bucks on a real estate book, but I probably wouldn't pay any significant amount of money for a RE course (especially not back when I was a beginner).  ...back when I was a beginning investor, the most important thing for me to learn were the fundamentals, and that info is out there for free, or at a very reasonable price...Right now is a very tricky and risky time to break into STRs for a few reasons:1. 

Landlords can still prohibit marijuana use/growing on their property; I have been seeing the occasional rental ad that states "grower friendly".

I used to drag around an 8' ladder and, occasionally, a lawnmower in an Audi sedan (among many other tools and supplies)...whatever it takes sometimes.
