@Keila RosarioDeciding on market you want to invest in is first step..Finding a good realtor will point you on right direction w lenders.If you’re looking at a conventional loan expect to put down 20-25% down, if it’s a multi and you plan to House hack you might qualify for FHA loan and downpayment will be much less..

I have never done anything like this so I need a little bit of advice here to make sure I get going on the right track and possibly find a partner to do the development with here on BP. 

I'm heading to Provo, Utah to look at BYU student housing, as well as small (residential) multi-family.

Hello BP,I've been looking at small multi-family investment properties and run into several early 1900's homes that have been converted into duplex/triplex or fourplex rentals. 

That is the highest level since the company began tracking the metric in 2010.

Should I be going for 200k multi family properties or try and shoot for a 50k property?

Also, what is the general cost of flood insurance for multi family properties?

I hope to get to multi-family houses in the next 18 months.There are a ton of books!

I wanted to make sure I was on the right track.
