I would just be certain you fully understand the draw schedule and have clearly defined points at which draws will be paid as this will allow you to ensure you structure your contracts with your tradesman to ensure you are staying ahead of the money.

Hindsight is great, but you should have walked the property after the repairs were done and before closing to ensure they were done and done properly.In the future, write the repairs into the purchase contract and have the lawyer hold that amount back until the work is done and inspected.

If Realtors are involved, no.If not, and if your EMD is substantial, maybe.Make sure you check with an independent mortgage broker in your area to ensure you get the best rate with the lowest closing costs.
