What type of investing does your father do and how would you be involved?

Plus an LLC reminds me that this is a business, not a hobby ; )  Anyway...I have never repaired homes before and I've watched my father remodel homes here and there as a kid but nothing really stuck.

Hello BP Community,My father-in-law would like to gift my wife and I his cabin.  

Fortunately, my father lives in the area who would be able to help manage some of the contractors because my fiancée and I are pretty strapped on time and in between det's constantly.Numbers (the important part!)

Their father had passed away recently and the mother was sent to a permanent nursing home.

My father who is currently in Orlando will be my eyes and ears and my business partner who also lives in orlando will help with the investment numbers because she knows the area.

My father lives in WI, and wants to go to AZ (family there/warmer weather).

I'm a husband and father of 3.

I will be out of town this weekend, father-in-law getting married...ugg. 

I did a title search on the property and found a few concerning items that could make this deal complicated:-There are two mortgages on the house-The house is not in the name of the current sellers, it was apparently their recently deceased father's house.
