I'm an executive creative director in advertising, having done agency life for 25+ years.

I did this earlier in the year with a local bank who were running a special fixed rate until next year May. 

I know this post was made about 10 years ago... would you still happen to have contacts for cross border tax specialists who understand US real estate laws and taxation? 

Have had some experience real estate investing (1 house hack and 2 rentals) but took a break this past year. 

Should I just purchase the property, run it for a year, gain some experience and then finish the basements later on?  

We are hoping to purchase a multifamily property by the end of the year.

I’ve already purchased 1 rental property (a duplex) this year with a conventional mortgage.
