If you use the amortization schedule on paying the bank on a 15 year amortization(what my banker does when I buy) you will have paid down 20% of the equity in that 5 years.In doing this she gets a much better rate than a savings account will pay, she is completely free from worry on the house, and you get all of the depreciation and tax benefits.
