Also as an aside, she should have told you from the beginning that her mom was subsidizing her rent, and you should have screened her to make sure her individual income was 2-3 times rent.

And as @Ian Ippolito , mentioned, the entity sometimes pays composite taxes so that you don't have to individually file state tax return or pay state tax return.

In the past, since I have dealt with the kids directly and they have limited credit, I take F,L&S and they are always very motivated to be helpful and get their $ back when they move, which is great.
