If you have easy access to the main water into the unit (rare) then you put them in line with the feed to the HW heater. 

I have spent quite a bit of time there looking around as well as get all listings from a Realtor.com feed to see what pops up.

If an insurance co. can get away with loopholes to not pay you THEY WILL.I know you are not directly connected to the coast line, but you have a large body of water that feeds to the Atlantic.
