You will need to degloss the cabinets anyway (whether painted or wood) so go with the abrasive side of a scotch bright sponge for the TSP application there.

I would of course keep in mind that I am looking for great deals, which generally means I might have to be willing to make some "lowball" offers, and that many of them will probably be rejected.Once I do find that good looking deal and have my offer accepted, however, I'm still not quite out of the woods!
