In NC, it's legal, but the previous AG who is now Governor felt it was anti-consumer, and the NC Real Estate Commission also did not take very kindly to assignments--I'm summarizing to add color commentary to the issue--you need to understand IN, assuming your property is local.The second point is to consider what's right.
