We've had to make some silly repairs of damages at our expense that were obviously tenant caused in order to get our rent checks, but that's part of the section 8 game.

That is one of the reasons I'd never accept prepaid rents cause you have actually volunteered to act as a free bank for the tenant.

I still believe that the tenants themselves in lower end units will cause more damage, wear, and tear on certain aspects of a property.

Most of the time it's safe to rent to a military person or family but there are many military people who have never rented a home before or will cause some damage due to negligence or inexperience.Obviously military people can move between units, even on the same post, but it helps to at least have a starting point.

The house is 100 years and original electrical..and found some foundation issues...all windows except one are sealed shut...for your safety she told me today...I was like really now...the house it made of that lighternot..not sure of spelling there.. but has joked that if it were to ever catch on fire to run...I by no means want to cause trouble , just feels so unfair ,knowing I've got craniotomy (brain surgery in a few weeks) so why make me move if house was took down off market at all...idk..just very aggravating ordeal...I know all that is not her problem but never dreamed she would do this...she's been one pushing me to go thru with it and now it's at point where I have to..can't put it off...but thank you for the advice.
