Besides the obvious that your place could get gutted and cleaned out of anything valuable, there are a number of scams where your listing gets posted to Craigslist, someone else gets access (IE via your lockbox) and "rents" your property to unsuspecting victims.If you do collect fees electronically, don't use Paypal.

the second reason you don't take bulk cash is because that behavior often originates from scams or slimes, you may have both on your hands.

He really is a great guy and I don't fear the scam that many complain about but I feel strongly that whatever education they can provide (from $2-20k) can be found on BP and in other RE books for much less.

The owner of this online 'website' is a man named Frank LaMark (google Frank LaMark scam or fraud) you will find many others who have been scammed by him also.

If you're making payments but do not own it, then you're probably actually a tenant that got scammed. :\ But from your OP it sounded like you were at least on title as one of two owners... you need to figure out of you have an ownership interest or are a tenant, it would appear.
