I actually have a close friend (who's still in college) who owns two rental properties and manages them alongside his longtime girl friend who just happened to graduate from Marquette University with a Bachelors in Business and a whole bunch of other degrees, and they pitched an idea to me to start some sort of real estate business.

It's probably for this reason, what most would see as a minor hiccup, that the underwriter held your loan up.

I love the estimate feature it has along side it's price history go what it's been sold for or listed for previously.

When I started in the Bulk REO and Bulk Notes world it took 6 months before I made a dime... that was tuff, and I still have some hiccups like what you are going through every now and then.

Seller financing has hiccuped over the past several years, but even that seems to be moving back towards some semblance of normalization.  

At some point I would love to work alongside some local investors to see how deals are done first-hand.

I am willing to invest alongside.

While you could go and bid along side, if you needed money to buy the note, it is likely you will need money to buy at auction.

Remember, anytime you run into a hiccup, it's not an obstacle, but a learning opportunity!
