I do plan to harvest equity as rents grow (6-7%) per each property and I think I can pull $100,000 per property every ten years.

While I have not finished the book I guess I never even considered equity harvesting an option.

Many acres of land have been set aside for state approved growing and harvesting.  

If you want to harvest the equity in your investment property, then you'll need to refinance.

.- change your business structure and earn dividends instead of salary income- purchase life insurance- shelter income through harvestable losses (eg: real estate or other investments that provide for accelerated depreciation)- use traditional IRAs... either non-deductible versions or back-door conversions to ROTH iRAs.Is there the added complication that you are attached to a 401k because you're using the money in your 401k to self-fund the business?

Even a lazy farmer will call a failed harvest a scam.

Further, it will continue undoubtedly for a magnificent future with a blossoming harvest of several fruitful results.

We considered harvesting some profit recently but don't have a better way to re deploy the equity so decided to continue to hold.

Loosing isn't fun, so just be sure you harvest as much value from the experience as possible.
