My folks live is Springfield.I was thinking about looking at Springfield/surrounding area for investment potential.What are your thoughts on this in general?

You are a pretty big hike from Springfield but you might draw from there as there isn't one there for several years now.  

I frequently travel to Springfield for work so that would be a great way to pass the time. 

Check the Worcester and Springfield areas a number of colleges student housing rentals can have huge returns if managed properly.TO find out about an area go to IREM.org search for ARM certified property managers.

By the way, I was born in Springfield and lived in Bend for a while.

Are you investing in berkshire county or the Springfield area?

Roughly ten minutes away from Springfield, Ohio.

I currently rent out a SFH in the Longmeadow and looking to further invest in duplex/triplexes Springfield MA area.

There is a huge difference between, say, Boston and Springfield.
