If I was starting out today I imagine it would be much worse, the result of (mis)information that is so prevalent and readily available on social media.

Now that you have a lay of the land I imagine you will approach the next one a bit differently. 

I would imagine that the company they hired can monitor all of the STR websites for listings.

I would imagine it would involve architects, attorneys, civil engineers and surveyors to get you a plat drawn.

I know alot of out-of-state investors are looking into other market for reasons like cash flow, section 8, lower price point, landlord laws, higher ROI's and all the other factors you could imagine that would make real estate investing seem like a great idea!

The suppliers say they are familiar with building codes in the US, but I still imagine there would be a lot of work to ensure code compliance, as well as installing the home on a new foundation, connect to utilities, etc. 

Likely through a conventional 5% down I would imagine.

I would imagine a conventional loan would take too long to get approved in order to close before the foreclosure auction date?
