Sure some people got the short stick in life but most times the "short stick" is self inflicted.

I’d personally recommend staying smaller than 10-12 units while you get your feet wet on your first and build systems particularly if you will be self managing.

There are people who self manage from across country using their phone.Something to consider.I assume you know you'll be giving up as much as 30% of your gross income (not net) to pay a PM what you can easily do yourself?
