There is a 26% tax credit when solar panels are installed this year, but that credit goes down to 22% next year, and goes away completely after that unless legislation changes soon.

Having had this internal/mental plan to buy real estate, hold onto it, and let it cashflow/appreciate has always made perfect sense to us, but to see this internal thinking become an external reality is the ultimate confirmation that this works.

The risk that the profitability would not continue is greater than average….could be for any number of reasons, such as a local market based on oil prices, a smaller city reliant on a single major employer, an area reliant on a military installation, the possibility of the property incurring internal obsolescence due to changing technology, competing property currently being developed.
