Hey @Matt Thompson, I'd definitely love to hear more about this concept.  

Not only did I begin to grasp the fundamental concepts of real estate better than I had in law school, but I developed a passion for it.I eventually left the law firm, and moved into an in-house role with one company in Metro Detroit and then another (my current job).

This is still a newer concept to me but one that I need to shed more light on. 

Having said that the reason why I have not been here is; I was really busy applying concepts and knowledge that I learned from using this site.Short story long; our business has grown over the past two years and I'll get straight to the point. 

It seems counter intuative that debt would create wealth, but i understand the concept in theory for sure!

I've been studying up on different concepts/strategies/exits for months after taking Real Estate Finance in college, and I really want to get in and get dirty on a couple flips/BRRRR's.

Different banks have different names for it, but the concept is the same.  

The former introduces the concept of 'BATNA' which will simplify your decision making.

Like any other mortgage lender, you'd get paid back out of net proceeds.I'd talk to a lawyer, probably an estate lawyer but maybe a RE lawyer, but an idea might be something similar in concept to a reverse mortgage, but not literally one.
