Find out who exactly the local police departments are.

The country has become an important tourist destination in Latin America, which has pushed the development in the hospitality, retail, and entertainment sectors.And yet, the positive development is far from over - it is just beginning!

Since the city is involved you can try and get the health and safety department  (might be the same as building) involved and they may find the home to be in such poor shape that the tenants need to leave. 

I find it best to go talk with the planning / zoning department in the jurisdiction that your looking to build in and they are most always in my experience willing to help guide you in the right direction and provide you with a specific list of items that they require for a preliminary approval so you can have the confidence to know that you can build what you would like to on the property. 

My portfolio consists of a retail strip center, a bank, and then various SFR, 4-Plex then a couple of other commercial properties.

If I would've found that out on the front end then it would've saved me a lot of headache.It's been my experience that zoning/permitting departments are pretty unforgiving.

To add to the frustration of the situation, I got a fire department annual bill of $300.

The cost of the program is $60K.A little about me:-38 years old (would finish the program at 41)-I currently work in corporate finance at a large media company with 2 years of experience in the department.

Then after that, figure out how much of that real estate allocation should be allocated to the different real estate strategies and asset types (commercial versus residential, debt versus equity, retail, office, multifamily, self storage, etc).
