I love getting stuff on the market place (ex: cabinets, fridges,etc) and giving it, it's 2nd life in a rental, and less pollution!   

I did most of my own work, but have a couple contractors specifically for floors, cabinet/kitchens, and plumbing.  

The remaining interior trim, painting, cabinets/counters, flooring/tile, and landscaping typically run about 30% of the project cost on my residential jobs.All in all I say go for it if you are feel you are ready for it.

GC went through and said $44k total for floors cabinets, some capital items, etc not doing crazy finishes.

As an example, I was quoted $5000 for interior paint, $4000 for exterior paint, and $4500 for refinishing cabinets - maybe they thought they could take advantage of me?).

It didn’t dawn on me that they were loading the truck with my items.They stole 2 55” TVs out of my gaming room, EVERYTHING out of my kitchen cabinets including the dishes, glasses, small appliances: Ninja blenders, toasters, air fryers and more.

$X for flooring, $X for paint, $X for kitchen cabinets etc.).

I own a cabinet company and enjoy real estate investing as an opportunity to use the skills I've learned thru the construction industry.
