It needs paint, carpet, bathroom, and kitchen.

I'm tiling the kitchen, but I'm wanting to go with Coretec for the living and bedroom areas.  

Laminate is great and we do use it in kitchens and bathrooms and when the HW is non existent but it is more expensive per square foot (tends to cost us about $1.70/sf when we install ourselves but can be much more) than HW refinishing.

It needs new interior paint, a new garage door, new floor in the kitchen, miscellaneous small fixed here and there, and a good cleaning throughout.

Not totally, but, it needs siding, roof, kitchen, bath remodel, windows, and landscaping plus finish work.

Elevations not seen from the street can go either way without spoiling the style.Keep the pocket doors into the kitchen - - just so charming - - and keeping them closed as much as possible allows a full modernization of the kitchen.Vicys have notoriously small rooms, so combining rooms or creating entirely new floor plans is fine, but pay attention to the style details.
