It's very "Apple-like" in terms of functionality which makes sense because the founder of Nest was a former Senior President at Apple and played a role in iPod and iPhone development.

From the ins co's standpoint, they would have to pay for rental of a house full of furnishings (tv's, beds, couches, etc.) if this family went into a typical, non-furnished home, so it is a good deal for them, too.

The important thing is to always get these companies down to an apples to apples comparison by researching exactly what is included in their management fee.

As fun as they are to watch on TV, flipping/rehab projects always seemed much better suited for more experienced (and handy, which we are not) investors and healthier markets.But… this property came recommended by our agent as one that had been on the market for a while and had several price reductions, as well as requiring very few if any structural improvements.
