While I understand I should focus on my primary career first(which I can literally do anywhere in the US), which I have every plan of doing, any other thoughts on strategy or mindset of building a buy and hold portfolio to achieve financial freedom would also be greatly appreciated.

I want to help all the time...but that never grants you the freedom from being hurt by such altruism ANY of the time.To wrap up: I used to be very anti-coaching.

Money/financial freedom will never replace them.

Sure, the money would be nice, but the headaches.....The point of the money is to buy you your freedom and life back, not add more stress and headaches.

Hey everyone, I live in Los Angeles, got married just before Covid hit, and my wife and I want to move to another state to start our lives, and hopefully a new financial freedom in real estate investment.

I'm becoming more and more attracted to the only true "flex" in my opinion: Freedom of time.  

So I finally decided that borrowing prudently was an acceptable risk to try to achieve the goal of freedom from the "rich" (j.o.b.).
