I think the thought is to drag it out to the point that the project itself is no longer feasible financially especially if the developer is going to be responsible for cleaning up the land due to the oil rig.

This way you your electricians and plumbers have a nice tidy out of the way place to fish all the wiring and water feeds.  

. :) I list out that they can't do these things:- Parking on grass- Store campers, boats, aircraft, unlicensed/insured cars, - working on cars, - using any part of the property for business purposes (including childcare, baking)They cannot have:  fish tanks, water beds, fire pits, trampolinesI don't think any of that is too crazy though. :)

Most people want fish right now & don't want to take the time to learn how to fish.

Sometimes we need to get creative with oil & gas investments, land conservation easements, or bonus depreciation.

Either they have no buyer list and start fishing or they over-inflate the ARV while under-estimating the reno cost and can't find a buyer for the contract, more and more sellers are putting the non-assignable clause or at least not assumable without seller approval. 

There are other fish out there.

My family owns a secluded private "apartment" (3 bed, 2 bath, 1900 Sq.Ft.) on a private lake, sitting on a 40 acre parcel in the middle of a forest with plenty of room to hike, fish, kayak, relax in the sun, or cozy up in the rain, or even visit the nearby public lands, the next parcel over, for deer, bear or turkey hunting.

It may seem wasteful, but you give yourself a better chance to "catch more fish" with a bigger net.
