I am now actually getting paid while gaining experience and knowledge in the field.

But obviously people love and enjoy multi-family.

I reached out to my Uncle who owned the family farm and he agreed that I could build my house on a 5 acre field he had.

Then go ahead and rent the property and enjoy your cash flow.However, understand that renting a property has fewer requirements than for listing the property on the MLS. 

If you have any advice for me--sales books to read, lessons you've learned in the field--I'd very much appreciate them!

We typically like to meet your pets at some point in the process, too.Our tenants’ safety and the peaceful enjoyment of their home is important to us, so we do a credit/criminal background check on all applicants aged 18+.

I would encourage you to only put the minimum down you can tolerate and still be able to enjoy life. 

Then they think about what it's going to be like in the Summer with the windows open or when they're trying to enjoy a cocktail on the patio.
