The sales rep tells me that it could be the house framing is warped in that area, that they can only follow the existing contours of the wood framing, and that it won't effect the ability of the roof to keep the house dry.Should I believe this?

Either he does it and you close when it's completed, (best way) or you'll get a tenant owing past rents (that you need assigned in your transaction) before you have a claim to start on.

In reality, agents usually give a client a choice but then they will add comments how well someone has done in past transactions and the relationship the have, the client usually goes with the agent's selection.

I have learned that getting priority usually does require a relationship and that relationship is usually based on closing transactions.
