It does sound very cheap since they are higher in L.A now definitely can’t find a room for $500 especially even in a lower end area so I wouldn’t be surprised if those $500 ones especially are scams .

I have talked to the Hendricks County Assessors office a few times and it sounds like if you designate a property as a rental with the county they say it can (depending on the area and the current assessed value) save you money on real estate taxes.

People talk about tax deeds as a really scary thing, so I feel like I have to be missing something.Either way, it sounds like the quiet claim process is going to be necessary if I want to sell the property in the future (but maybe doesn't matter if I don't want to sell it?).
