I could not travel to the house at all and after sitting vacant for 1 month, I had property managers get it rented for slightly above market value for a May 1 move-in.After budgeting for all expenses, including capex, property management and vacancies, I will be profiting just over $200/mo in cash flow!

We live in San Diego so attending a meetup will be tough for the foreseeable future given travel restrictions.

The other concern I have with Orlando is it seems very travel-dependent with all the resorts/conferences going on.

Don´t let the travel restrictions stop you because your property manager can withhold your income for the first 3-6 months if you need time to get that organised.

If I’m reading this correctly, they’re not longer issuing full refunds for travelers just because of covid-19.

So instead I focused on getting the cabins ready from a distance (I had planned on going out for closing, but couldn't travel because of lockdowns).

I travel when I want and don't see the occasion text as an issue.
