A quick search says production stopped in the 1990s on these. 

It’s still something to pay attention to because if this is needed to sell homes and keep occ up then you need to be confident with the demand for your product in the market but it is not abnormal for this type of strategy in our industry, especially when a high volume of lots are being infilled and leased up quickly.

I'm kind of a stats guy and like to see what the "average" guy is getting from the product.

OK buddy so your strategy is basically to expect all the professional salespersons to sell this product that you want sold as a premium high quality product with all these cool features, bla bla bla, for zero commission, when that comparable house 2 blocks away is offering 3%?

If they have some specialized product, that's awesome and great for them.
