Odds are you’ll be stuck with the layout so welcome to small closets, tiny bathrooms, and “modest” sized kitchens.

Owning single family residential (1-4 units) was pretty intuitive for me.  

The two unit setup is a great choice, but it’s dependent upon your current mechanical layout, and plans for the property.

When we stage, she decides which color scheme to use, and then -- in theory, at least -- she doesn't even need to be involved, as the layout is pretty much the same in every house.I highly recommend doing things this way -- figure out designs that work and then repeat them in every house.

I am going to lay out my current plan and then highlight some questions I have.I'm looking at a duplex to start in the area of $200K to $230K that I could get with essentially nothing down and not buying points through the VA loan.
