My wife and I love Maine, but I don't see it as the kind of job growth hub that it would need to be.Texas & Oregon don't shock me a great deal.

My goal is growth, but ultimately I am looking for passive income for retirement.I am a fast learner and drinking from a fire hose right now via books, blogs, and podcasts, but I also realize that networking is a must.  

But I would argue investing in growth stocks (or investment property with no cash flow) is more akin to speculating.

Including tenants who destroy homes, property managers who are dishonest and rip you off for maintenance, extended vacancies, no capital growth, terrible insurance, the list goes on.

What's your take on the job growth and industry diversification in Fort Worth?
