when there are easements I fire back with I want a LEGaBLE copy.. half the time they send you stuff you cant read.. it may require them sending someone to the court house to find the original LOL

I totally got taken on the price, the rehab costs way more than the original estimate (not the contractors fault-we discovered a fire had been in the house and covered up at some point and some structural issues needed attention) Here are the details-  I share all this because, even though embarrassing, I learned a lot and maybe I can help others be smarter than me!!

@Debbie W.Regarding the neighboring unit having a fire and no insurance to cover your damage, that is typically covered under your H06 policy.

He was removing a radiator valve with a hand saw, the saw made a spark, the wall paper caught fire and within 5 minutes.. the fire spread in this 120 year old building. 3 apartments were damaged $170,000.
