I have built over 200 ft of block walls (slump stone), retaining walls up to 5' tall on the property line, planted food trees (including my prized Hass Avocado), block and rock hardscape, designed and installed all irrigation, put in the sod, etc.

Covid has shown me how nothing is guaranteed, even in necessary industries like food service.I would like to diversify my investment portfolio to include more than just traditional methods like stocks and bonds.

I would recommend narrowing based on location, price, and rental market potential, then by restrictions/ordinances.For example, Indian River Shores (beachside in Vero Beach) requires that residents who rent out their homes through websites such as Airbnb and HomeAway to have a town license; meet fire and safety codes; pass a building inspection; and conform to town regulations for parking and noise.

However, the COVID stuff is no one's fault—we are testing and rescheduling for everyone's safety.
