My adjusted gross income is under $100,000, and so the passive loss (including phantom loss from depreciation, deductions from mortgage interest and property tax, etc.) from my rental properties will be offsetting my ordinary income by a maximum of $25,000 each year.

If a plan accepts an invalid rollover contribution ... if the plan administrator of the receiving plan later determines that the contribution was an invalid rollover contribution, the amount of the invalid rollover contribution, plus any earnings attributable thereto, is distributed to the employee within a reasonable time after such determination.

Fun fact, almost all unlicensed sub I talk to is “thinking” or “working on” their license, so they always end up bidding on a fixed number of hours on fixed rate if they really want my money, of course it’s an employee and i have a license.

@Jessica Sander-CederlofIf you are self-employed with no full-time w-2 employees, you can set up a Solo 401k & rollover funds from a former employer plan and/or non-Roth IRA as a tax-free direct rollover and then invest in real estate.
