Case in point the area where I live has many houses downtown built on cedar post foundations, which are at end of life, and its a hot market, so what it appears is many investors just do nothing with the foundation if the house is within a couple inches of level even though the posts are rotten and will cause structural issues a few years down the road.

Maintaining the property with basic updates like fresh paint and appliances while i was there and stained the kitchen cabinets to give it a more updated appearance.

Of course, to do more closings without increasing the amount of work which equals the incremental cost of the closings, you have to decrease the work and attentiveness applied to each closing, increasing the risk of an error, which appears to have happened in your daughter's case.To answer your second question, assuming your daughter is insured under a valid title policy and also assuming there isn't an exception or exclusion to coverage for this matter, it is probably covered under the policy and your daughter should immediately submit a claim to the insurer to find out if it's covered.
