Cracks in the foundation, dangling wires, three layers of roofing material on the roof, broken fixtures, off color carpet areas, spots on the ceilings, soft spots in the walls in the bathroom where water has penetrated, swampy areas in the lawn.

They can block it by putting something in front of it or a piece of plywood held in place by a piece of furniture, but I wouldn't nail boards to the fireplace.

@Ofir Rushinek It all depends, there are some GREAT pockets in Spring Park 32207, and some that are a DMZ, but if you can find a brick or block home in the neighborhood, lock it in!
