I’m a huge fan of the podcast/YouTube channel and am already a couple of BP books in—it seemed like the time to join!

I got into Bigger Pockets and real estate because my boyfriend is a real estate investor in the area, and is actually a very big fan of the podcast.

Presumably, the fan wouldn't be circulating air around anyway (if that's even a risk) as the thermostat is allegedly broken.

Are ceiling fans in Alaska a worthy investment for rentals?

If the units just seem outdated but flooring and walls aren't too bad replacing light fixtures, outlet/switch covers, ceiling fans, and putting in LED lighting can make a big impact!

We rebuilt the front and back deck, replaced the hot tub cover/added a flipper, added more patio furniture, replaced the ugly flooring (cheap wood laminate/linoleum in bathrooms) downstairs, redecorated the entire inside, changed out dated light fixtures/fans, added small furniture pieces and decor to make it feel welcoming, added arcade games, purchased books/games/art, and adding a cabin name sign at street/on house.  

When you don't know the exact paint color and sheen, you will eventually end up repainting the entire wall, room, or house (which, BTW, is why I'm a big fan of a standard paint color and materials list for property managers and landlords). 

I'm a big fan of the 'snipping tool' on windows, but in order to add the photo, you have to save it to your device and then upload the image from the location where you've had it saved. 

Not a fan of that idea either, I'd rather use the money when I want to, not be required to take out funds. 

You can call in the GC if you think he can get better pricing, can get it fixed faster, or you’re willing to pay extra to have someone stand behind it,     . if you had a broken ceiling fan or a broken garage door opener at your home I assume you wouldn’t hire a GC.
