A handyman/husband is a HUGE, HUGE help.My husband does the books including bookkeeping and accounting, bill paying and obtaining bank financing and he also occaisionally trouble shoots maintenance problems and suggests fixes if our handyman needs a hand and he uses his mad carpentry skills for renovating appartments. 

Also, when identifying markets to have your rentals in, I would suggest finding somewhere that you don't mind visiting.If you have specific questions about my experience, feel free to send me a PM. 

Secondly I would suggest learning the craft of deal deal evaluation, real estate investing concepts and what cap rate, noi, cash flow, cash on cash return are.

That is why we suggest people to  make sure you manage them cash flow to cover taxes on your current year sale.

I would suggest using "Angies List" if you do not have any good contractors in mind.

Another company stopped by today suggested that they could fix this problem by mudjacking the floor with polyurethane - first time we heard of this.

I would suggest you set up a website also with a nice clean simple landing page to generate leads.Then you can direct your Facebook Ads or Google Adwords campaigns there and it also ads credibility.Twitter and Instagram both have paid marketing tools as well that you can utilize to build an online presence.

How would anyone suggest going about this situation?

I am also open to any book suggestions people might have on any of the above topics.
