Do any of you know of workarounds for the terrible payment system?

so you can imagine that this more than doubled our expected closing costs on the front end, and while it was not a deal-breaker, it certainly was a terrible surprise to see it on our closing balance sheet for the first time a couple hours before closing.

You can get an A house on the side of a hill with no parking, which might have great tenants, or a terrible house in a desirable area, with tenants that don't pay. 

Also keep in mind that the deal is more important than the location, you can buy a terrible deal in a great market and vice versa.

meg526,Unfortunately, this would be TERRIBLE as a rental.

We're planning to sell this property in the next year or two, so dumping thousands of dollars into it is not terribly appealing to us.

with west being the roughest and then south the next although there are streets in so jac that are terrible as well. then you have N. and NE jackson were you have nicer homes better neighborhoods.

I’ve found some decent properties in Mckeesport for very low prices, but the area is absolutely terrible and labeled as one of the worst areas to live in in Pennsylvania.
