hi all. i was driving around my neighborhood and found two abandoned houses that are in fairly decent shape. i wanted to research them to find out if i can do something with them. the owner of one house died, but he was a loner and i don't think he left a will. the second house looks like it was just abandoned by the owners recently. guess they walked out on mortgage. how would i research who owns the house so that i can contact them?

yes was planning on it. but upon further thinking. i believe i may demo and sale the land. thank you for your interest.

A typical apartment building that is performing you could land a 10 year term with a 25 year amortization for example at a 75% LTV.

Things like Land records, state dept. of Assessments and Taxation, register of wills or orphans court, Bankruptcy and court case searches, etc.

Garbage comes in various shapes, and smells so examine the offering carefully.

If end appears burned/has irregular shape, replace it.

I also own a land property free and clear where I would like to build to rent or build to sell.Im a bit more conservative than alot of you "go getters" but if anyone has any pointers Im always glad to listen and learn.Currently my investment plan consists of paying off my current SFR rental and then building a 65k(ish) structure on my land.

I am even working on a transaction where we may build a public park on the land and hold it waiting for the neighborhood to improve.
