Just think logically, many major league baseball players pay top $$ for their gloves and bats.

The logic is that you could be committing occupancy fraud and not really moving but stating you are moving to get owner-occupied interest rates. 

BTW, I don't know what the market is for these things, so I will let others chime in, but if the logic makes sense to you, run with it.  

I can pour this into paying off the HELOC quickly and if I get in a pinch I can always rely on my cash reserves to pay off the HELOC in full.Given all that, I feel like it's a logical move but want to make sure I'm not overlooking something.Thanks

I really don't get the logic.  

Getting a deal on an REO is more about timing and strategy than logic.

I WILL be taking a loan out on my 401k here is my logic behind it... 1. its got no interest to anyone but you!

Nothing wrong with you offering based on that logic but don't be surprised if they come back 2-3% higher.

It is a logical city for investors who are already betting on Texas as Houston, Dallas and Austin get most of the attention.
