It's important to do your due diligence and research the local market, as well as establishing a strong network of professionals to support your investments.Ultimately, the best deals are the ones that align with your investment goals and provide a good balance of cashflow and potential for long-term growth.

Like everything else in real estate, both of these things are very hyper-local so be wary of generalizations.

If you already own it and it was a personal residence that you don't want to sell providing you live somewhere in the area, have an interest and understanding of your local rental laws and aren't in California (the laws) or Florida (the possibility of assessments) then self management is a possibility.
