Now major safety issues will be addressed (like proper venting for gas appliances) even if they were legal back in the day.Keep in mind also that different Section 8 organizations/inspectors are not all the same in the stringency of their inspections.

And both inspectors said that only if we are moving a sink from a location to a different location or moving walls etc is when we would need to pull a permit ex. sliding glass door.

I guess the inspection today changed their minds.On a side note, the agent let me know they would take it as is, suggesting there were problems they'd deal with.I had the same inspector 2 years ago, and still have the report, including the steps I took after it.
