The way I see it, if these friends are viable and trusted business partners it could make Real Estate in Boston more affordable with shared responsibilities to reduce the workload of managing the property.

I've started looking at Columbus because my business partners have found success doing Mid Term Rentals there and the returns are solid.

It has tech and manufacturing job growth and all the signs for solid appreciation.

And it goes beyond responses.   

However, if I could make both happen whether or not that looks like me just doing one or the other on each deal, then I think it could be a solid way to open up some dual streams of income.

I’ve qualified as real estate professional since 2021 and just found a potentially good opportunity to acquire a property in Mexico that would make for either a solid STR and/or eventually our forever home.I’m completely new to acquiring a foreign property- how to finance, what purchase process looks like, how foreign STR is taxed, does real estate professional status matter, etc. 

Another thing is that the least that they signed says that landlord will be responsible for trash, swere "basic fee" (not sure what that means) and lawn mowing.
