I wanted to share this because of the severity of the safely issue with CO leaking in the house and my personal response for my tenants to make sure they are safe and show how much I care.

They are vey safe  - no one would let a property go for that amount, and you would be happy if they did - As a beginner investor with $10,000, you could create an enviable portfolio of 100+ liens while learning the business. 

Only safe improving the home makes sense.   

I could sleep at night knowing my home was safe), and two I was confident in my ability and training to properly leverage the equity through a new investment. 

For example, one could safely invest in West Hollywood,  Hollywood or North Hollywood,  an area with dozens of miles between including multiple zips and still be ok (throw a dart style).

I would recommend buying something safe & simple to start.

That said...For anyone interested, there are huge concerns from the European perspective: devices like Ring are prohibited in the EU.

Its typically not food grade safe either. 

I don’t know of any location in the country where you can SAFELY get $600 a month on a $30k property.  

It's a special EPA training certificate which deals with how to isolate, contain lead safe areas during renovation and offer lead dust cleaning service and advice.
